These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hedy AI design assistant at askhedy.com ("the Service"), operated by Solstice Power Tools LLC ("Solstice Tools," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Hedy is an AI-powered design assistant that helps homeowners plan DIY renovation and repair projects. The Service provides design suggestions, product recommendations, cost estimates, visualizations, and shopping lists. Hedy is a planning tool — she is not a licensed contractor, architect, or engineer.
You may create an account using your email address or Google sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
Hedy offers both free and credit-based features. Free features include basic design advice and repair guidance. Credits are required for certain features such as visualizations. Credits are non-refundable. Promotional codes are single-use and subject to availability.
Not Professional Advice: Hedy's recommendations are for informational and planning purposes only. They do not constitute professional contracting, architectural, or engineering advice. Always consult qualified professionals for structural, electrical, plumbing, or gas-related work.
Cost Estimates Are Approximate: All cost estimates, contractor price comparisons, and savings calculations are approximations based on national and regional averages. Actual costs may vary significantly based on your location, project scope, materials chosen, and market conditions.
Product Recommendations: Product suggestions are based on AI analysis and may not account for all factors specific to your project. Always verify product compatibility and specifications before purchasing.
Visualizations Are Conceptual: AI-generated visualizations are conceptual representations, not exact depictions of how your finished project will look. Colors, proportions, and details may differ from actual results.
DIY at Your Own Risk: Any DIY work you undertake based on Hedy's suggestions is done at your own risk. Solstice Tools is not responsible for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from DIY projects.

If you opt to receive shopping lists via text message, you consent to receive a one-time SMS from Solstice Tools. Message and data rates may apply. We will not send marketing or promotional text messages. You can opt out by not requesting text messages.
By uploading photos and sharing information with Hedy, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content to provide and improve the Service. You retain ownership of your photos and content.
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose, attempt to access other users' accounts or data, reverse engineer or copy the Service, use automated systems to access the Service without permission, or upload content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on others' rights.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solstice Power Tools LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without cause. You may delete your account at any time by contacting heyhedy@solsticetool.com.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
